EAST RINMORE
EAST RINMORE - now known as Rinmore Farm is just visible through the row of trees adjacent to West Rinmore and stands on higher ground. This is still a working farm with 74 head of cattle and some sheep. It is lived in by Sandy and Margaret McInnes, who have worked the farm since the 1970s, Sandy was born here and his father farmed here before him.
The
Reids left here around the time of the First World War, although as yet,
I cannot be precise. I believe the last Reid to farm here was Peter Reid
(1835-1917) he was the son of another Peter Reid (my great-great grandfather).
